Her grandma used e watchful cleverness she could to create Janie as a well reckon woman. Jan ie explains what her thoughts were when she was a child, and how the idea of finding true love did non budge when became an adult. Janie struggled to find her true love within her three relationships; however, at the end, she finally found her true love- Tea Cake.

At the end, Janie came back to her childhood town, without her true love because he had died, but she was actually content that the fact she pursued her thoughts and succeeded.
